Barrow Raiders v Batley Bulldogs

Another defeat for the Raiders but I managed a few decent photos. Light was bad in the first half trying to shoot into the sun, the second half was far easier with the sun from behind. The Pentax K5 is a definite improvement over the K7.
I'm trying out the TAV mode on the K5 for the rugby. I use the Pentax DA* 300mm lens at F4 and set the shutter speed to 1/800th sec. with the ISO between 100-3200 and seem to be getting some fair results.
The AF speed is also better on K5 with the 5 spot focussing being very good for the rugby.
